Try mountaintop to mountaintop ziplining in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Opening April 15, Navitat Canopy Adventure's new Blue Ridge Experience promises bird's-eye views of Asheville with its mountain-to-mountaintop zipline adventure. At approximately 350 feet high and 3600 feet long, hang on tightly during this outdoor adventure like no other and enjoy the panoramic views, if you dare.

Attend Moogfest in April 2014. Moogfest is not new to Asheville, but after a year's hiatus this popular electronic music festival is new and improved. It's now a five-day festival slated for April 23-27 at various venues throughout downtown Asheville. This festival is a tribute to Bob Moog and the origination of the analog synthesizer and its continuing legacy. You can read more about Moogfest and its history here.

Visit Sierra Nevada Brewing in its new East Coast location in Asheville. Just when you thought you couldn't find more beer to be had in Asheville, another new brewery pops up in Beer City USA. Asheville is now brimming with over 20 area breweries. Test brewing is already in progress at the California-based Sierra Nevada Asheville facility located on 190 acres on the French Broad River. With over 350,000 barrels-a-brewin' and a taAsheville Views photo by Joyful Now Photographysting room set to open by springtime, it's a must-see destination on your Asheville travel itinerary. It's not the only new brewery in town though, so save room for more.

These are our three favorite new things to do this year. What do you think? There are plenty more new Asheville adventures to be had in 2014. Read about them here.
