The Best Way to Stop and Be Thankful this Fall

The Best Way to Stop and Be Thankful this Fall

As the fall season ramps up, with the holidays that we are now in the middle of, after school activities that you have to run the kids back and forth to, homework that you have to help them with, the company parties that there are to attend…it can be hard to remember to just stop and be thankful. Thankful for all of the things that you have to run back and forth to. The jobs and the children that keep you so busy. And, last but not least, the beautiful places there are to take a vacation to!

One of our cabins in Asheville, NC, is the perfect place to escape to in order to breath, relax, and be thankful for all that your life has brought you. Are you ready for the increased health and raised serotonin levels that being thankful brings with it? Then book your vacation with us now!

Vacation

Go On Vacation!

The best way to stop and be thankful this fall is by going on vacation! Get away from your normal routine. Stop running around like crazy with no time to breath. Sleep in. Take time to indulge in some of your favorite activities. Maybe read an entire book by the fire in one afternoon. Sip hot chocolate late in the evening. Have breakfast in bed every morning.

While on vacation, besides indulging in all of your favorite hobbies and other activities, there are two other ways to spend your time that will greatly increase your thankfulness quota this vacation. Namely, they are spending extra time with your family and savoring some quiet just to rest and reflect on all your blessings.

Family Time

Spend Extra Time With Your Family

When our schedules get busy, and the activities pile up, it is our families that most often suffer. But they are really our greatest blessings. Out of all the people in the world, it is our families who are most likely to love us unconditionally.

Spending time with our families is not only a wonderful way to strengthen our connections with them, it is also a great way to stop and be thankful for all our other blessings. How, you might ask? Well, most everything we do is for our families, right? We work to put a roof over everyone's heads. Then there is the cleaning, the cooking, and the errand running. That is all for our family too. It can feel like drudgery, day in and day out, if we don't take time out of our busy schedules to just enjoy our families. To remember why it is that we do what we do.

Savor Some Quiet

Savor Some Quiet so That You Have Time To Reflect on Your Blessings

While our families, their love, and even their success are probably our biggest blessings and the things we are most thankful for, there are other blessings, too. Such as a warm house. A nice car or two to drive. The beautiful and delicious food we have to eat. The clothes we wear. Our good health. The jobs that we have. And the list could go on and on. Without time just to rest and reflect, though, it is hard to even identify our blessings, let alone appreciate them. So, during your fabulous vacation that you are taking in these stunning Asheville mountains, take a moment to gaze out in the beauty of nature. Appreciate all the gifts you've been given and have worked so hard for. Be thankful. Pat yourself on the back for all the things you have done well.

A vacation, with the extra time it provides to rest and reflect, is the perfect way to stop and be thankful during this beautiful holiday season. And Asheville is the most beautiful place of all in which to take a vacation. Book with us now and make the time in your busy schedule to appreciate - to be thankful for - your truly good life.
