Pub & Grub Crawls in Western North Carolina

Yum, two of our favorite things: pubs and grub. No better place than Asheville and the surrounding region of Western North Carolina to embark on a pub crawl, grub crawlor better yet, a pub and grub crawl. Here are few ideas for you if you're so inclined. It's the perfect time of year for it!

Black Mountain Pub & Grub CrawlPub & Grub Crawl in Western NC

Creative Mountain Food Tours offers a few ways to eat and drink your way through the quaint town of Black Mountain. We especially like the Pub and Grub Crawl. Put on your walking shoes for a guided tour of four to five of the best pubs and eateries in town. This three-hour tour takes you on a culinary adventure where local chefs prepare snacks representative of their establishment and then pair them with some of their best beers and ales.
How bad can that be?
Throw in some fun historical facts and trivia, a few ghost stories, and it makes for an excellent adventure out with friends. Participating establishments are subject to change, but you can get a glimpse of what's on the tour by visiting their website. This is a 21-and-over tour, obviously. Tickets are $40 per person. The Black Mountain Pub and Grub Crawl happens on select Friday afternoons. Peruse the dates and make your reservations here. Black Mountain is about a 15-minute drive from Asheville, in case you were wondering about that.

Asheville Food & Beer ToursPub Crawl in Asheville NC

When it comes to a guided tour of Asheville's food and brew scene, there are a ton of options. You have your standard brewery tours, quirky Asheville food tours, delicious chocolate tours, wild foraging adventures in the wilderness of Western NC, and field-trips to some of our favorite locales. Tour a bison farm, explore a hops farm, or indulge in a sophisticated wine tour. Whatever pleases your palate, Asheville has a tour for it.
Hey, you can even BYOB (bring your own beer... or wine) and hop on the Amazing Pubcycle, Asheville's famous 13-person, pedaled, solar and motor-assisted vehicle. It's quite a unique way to tour around town. The conductor navigates 10 pedalers and 3 non-pedalers through Asheville's Central Business District. You can expect laughter, entertainment and more. You have to see it (and try it) to believe it. All bookings and reservations for the Amazing Pubcycle are done online. If you're lucky you may catch them last minute at Aloft Asheville Downtown on 51 Biltmore Avenue before they depart; they may let you on if they have room, but don't hold your breath.
