Laugh Your Asheville Off at the Largest Comedy Festival in the Southeast

Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Festival
It's time to LYAO at the 8th Annual Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Festival happening this week throughout various venues in downtown Asheville. It's one of the most respected and popular stand-up events in the nation. The LYAO Comedy Festival features over 50 comedians from the USA and Canada and focuses on audience enjoyment over competitive performing. Though it is a judge-free event, LYAO is known to draw top comedic producers and representatives in search of the latest and greatest talent in the field.

This year's Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Festival runs from Wednesday, August 13 through Saturday, August 16. Ticket holders are offered six different comic showcases to choose from throughout the festival at venues in the downtown Asheville area including The Altamont Theatre, The Millroom, Diana Wortham Theatre, and Highland Brewing Company. Each LYAO comedy showcase is ticketed separately and costs $16 for general admission, plus a small booking fee. LYAO online tickets can be purchased here.

The Laugh Your Asheville Off festival lineup is jam-packed with cutting edge comics and nights full of wit and laughter. Check out the complete 2014 LYAO festival lineup to see who's performing this year. Visit the Laugh Your Asheville Off Facebook page for the latest festival news and updates.
Robin Williams Quote on Stand-Up Comedy
Stay locally in a downtown Asheville vacation rental to enjoy close, convenient access to the local venues, comic showcases, and other Asheville festivities happening throughout the week. There are plenty of options to choose from with the amenities, locations and styles you desire when it comes to accommodations in Asheville. It beats a hotel or motel stay any day.

In light of this week's tragic loss of comedic icon Robin Williams, we take a moment to remember his legacy. Though the world lost one voice of laughter, it is in his honor that we encourage you to support others in this field who give us a bit of comic relief in a sometimes crazy world.

We hope to see you LYAO at the festival. Cheers to laughter!
