Kristen Wiig Shares Her Asheville Experience on the Late Show with David Letterman

Fresh off of filming the movie Untitled Armored Car Project with cast
mates Zach Galifianakis and Owen Wilson, Kristen Wiig shared her
Asheville experience on the Late Show with David Letterman recently. She
chatted with Letterman about her time in the "little hippie town, where
people who used to follow the Grateful Dead have moved there… to die.”
(Yes, yes, we told you that Asheville is a little quirky.)
After filming was completed, it was a bit of a culture shock transitioning from her summer in Asheville back to the Big Apple. "You know that movie Nell with Jodie Foster, when she comes out of the forest? I felt like that in New York,” Kristen laughingly explained.
Untitled Armored Car Project was filmed mostly in the River Arts District of downtown Asheville and is set for release in August of 2015. It’s based on the $17.3 million cash robbery of the regional vault of Loomis Fargo & Company in Charlotte, NC, in 1997. Be sure to check it out on the big screen next summer!
In addition to the meditative calm of the salt caves and the
rejuvenation of the sensory deprivation tank experiences, Kristen
also loved Asheville’s area restaurants, downtown drum circles and
hippie mountain-town
vibe. Would you like to hear more about what Kristen Wiig said about her
