Ghosts, and Costumes, and Beer, Oh My!

Halloween is one of the most highly anticipated evenings of the year by many people; however, there are nearly as many ways to celebrate it as people who enjoy participating in said revelry! This can make finding the right bash a little tricky (pun intended). So, how do you know which party you’re in the mood for or will going to be set toward the demographic you want to celebrate with? Well, it’s a good thing you were wondering that, because here’s a post telling you all about All Hollow’s Eve – Asheville style!

Trick or Treating with kids Halloween Asheville 2014 If you have kids…

Asheville offers options for celebrating Halloween as a family! If your kids are stoked about donning a costume and trick-or-treating, there are a couple ways for you to head to the mountains for a vacation and still take them out. Historic Montford Neighborhood offers trick-or-treating on October 31 and the neighborhood association will be offering additional security for families trolling the area for treats. If the weather is a little dubious or you’re looking for a little more consolidated venue the Asheville Mall is also offering indoor trick-or-treating on October 31.

If you need comic relief along the way (like a certain blogger)...

Lazoom Tours can be a great fill both your spooky and comic quota. With humorous tellings of scary stories specific to the Asheville area, Lazoom Haunted Tours are always quick to fill up and guaranteed to be a blast!

Halloween Parties for Adults Asheville 2014If You’re Footloose and Kid Free…

Asheville has a plethora of events for you to take advantage of. Whether you’re going stag, with a group, someone special or just need a night to reclaim your sanity from your children, one of these is sure to be just what you’re looking for. For those of you into a more laid back, live music, cold beer in your hand sorts, you can buy a ticket to The Grey Eagle as it opens its doors for a night of music, food, beer and relaxation. If you enjoy the idea of the bar scene, but want something a little crazier, Pack's Tavern is your answer. Pack’s hosts an annual Halloween party beginning at 8, complete with a costume competition and cash prizes for the winners. For those of you who enjoy still the laid back-back feel with just a little more structure, a tour might be more up your ally. With a varied selection, including a haunted pub crawl and a Biltmore mystery tour among others, if you enjoy finding out the dirty little secrets of an area, these are for you!

Haunted House and Adult Parties Asheville Halloween 2014If You Are Into the Scary Stuff...

Get a sitter, pick a costume – do what you have to do to get out of the house, ‘cause there are some great events to choose from! There are historic venues converted into haunted houses of days gone by, like The Grove House Inferno or Tressa's Jazz and Blues Bar which is converted into a haunted house for the evening with a costume competition at midnight.

If you have a pulse, Asheville has something for you to fill your evening and party into the night with on Halloween. As fun as all these events are, though, don’t forget that it can be equally enjoyable to spend the evening with a fire out back, marshmallows and your loved ones! Sometimes the best nights are determined by who you’re with, rather than where you’re at.
