April is North Carolina Beer Month: Here Are Some Ways to Celebrate In and Around Asheville!

Asheville is no stranger to craft beer, breweries, beer festivals and more. Let's not forget Asheville's Beer Week in May and its famed Beer City USA status. With its ever growing beer scene, there's no shortage of Asheville beer adventures to be had. April 1 through April 30 is North Carolina Beer Month, so it's the perfect time to spend Beer Month in Beer City!

Here are some of our recommendations for ways to celebrate all through the month:

Visit the Asheville Pizza & Brewing Company
Located on 675 Merrimon Avenue in Asheville, the Asheville Pizza & Brewing Company releases a new Firkin (which is a cask-conditioned beer) every Friday from April 5-26. Asheville Brewing CompanyThat's reason enough to stop, but Asheville Pizza and Brewing company also has great pizza and a $3 movie theater in addition to its award-winning microbrewery. One side shows a movie while the other side has a game room and giant television. It's family friendly and a great place to put on your agenda.

Located on 150 Eastside Drive in Black Mountain, The Pisgah Brewing Company offers Saturday brewing tours from April 6-27. Learn the ins and outs of the beer making and sample some of Pisgah's finest handcrafted, certified organic beer. Stop in and see what's on-tap now!

Order tBlue Mountain Pizza and Brew Pubhe Special from Blue Mountain Pizza and Brew Pub
Head on over to 55 N. Main Street in Weaverville any Wednesday from April 3-24. The Blue Mountain Pizza and Brew Pub offers a great special during NC beer month: a medium, two-topping pizza and two house brews for only $12. Make it your weekly Wednesday hangout!

Try the Wick
Wicked Weed Brewinged Weed Brewing's New Release: Brown Belgian
Located at 91 Biltmore Avenue in Asheville, Wicked Weed Brewing releases its Brown Belgian on Friday, April 5 with tapping promptly at 5p.m. The release event takes place in the downstairs tasting room.

The traditional Southern ingredient in the smoked Brown Belgian is sweet potatoes in combination with locally malted grain produced by RiverBend which was smoked at 12 Bones' smoking facility. Try the flavors out for yourself and let us know what you think!

Head to the Highland Brewing Company
Highland Brewing CompanyTour the Highland Brewing Company located on 12 Old Charlotte Highway in Asheville. Tours are available   daily throughout NC Beer Month from April 1-30. Taste the best-selling Gaelic ale or try a popular seasonal brew. Take time to enjoy the scenery, too.

Stop by the Oyster House Brewing Company
The Oyster House Brewing Company is located on 625 Haywood Road in Asheville and offers daily specials in celebration of NC Beer Month. Specials include $6 growlers, cask-conditioned ales all month, anOyster House Brewingd flights  of North Carolina beers.
