Since the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is easily accessible from any part of Asheville, is away from city (and country) lights, you will have an especially brilliant view of the stars. An added bonus to taking a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway to stargaze, if you have any little children, is that your kids just might fall asleep and leave you in quiet to soak up some rejuvenation. If your kids do fall asleep, the Parkway has many lovely pullouts so that you can park and gaze, without trying to take peaks at the stars while you are driving.
3). A Mountain Peak

At only just over 2 and 1/2 miles, the trail isn’t overly challenging. Meaning that it is perfect for an after-dinner walk. And when you reach the summit, you will have a fabulous, breathtaking view.
